I have always been interested in sharing the experiences I have gained as a musician throughout my life. My musical education in Saint Petersburg, Russia, was very intensive. I received excellent training there and, until the age of 20, studied at various musical institutions in Saint Petersburg, including music school, a pre-college programme, and the conservatory.

Living in Germany, where I spent five years studying with Professor Josef Anton Scherrer at the University of Music in Wuppertal, broadened my horizons. Here, I learned to approach music and music-making in a different way. I came to understand that there is not just one standard for playing the piano or experiencing music, but many different approaches. I am grateful to have experienced two distinct cultural traditions in my life, each of which has something valuable to offer.

As a teacher, I believe it is important to find the right approach for each individual student and to encourage them to develop their own musical identity. I do not believe there is a universal method that works for everyone. My aim is to teach piano through creative, varied, and engaging musical activities, playing, and practice, while combining professional excellence with the joy of making music.

One of the central aspects of my teaching philosophy is the exploration of tone colour and sensitivity to musical nuances. These allow students to express their own ideas with greater subtlety and emotional depth.
